OMG! Colin Cowie & the Bella Girls

I know, I know, the ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants) yearly conference was way back in November of 2008....but I couldn't not blog about the amazing key note speech by Colin Cowie. What an amazing visionary within the event world. What spectacular and mind blowing time lapse pictures he used to show us of some of the truly out of this world events and weddings he has produced. His speech kept everyone on the edge of their seat, how we all wish to be associated with such feats of design and execution!
Sooo, the real reason for this blog, besides how Colin was able to excite and motivate Susan and I...was of course the amazing picture we were able to take with him. Check out Susan and I.

Then of course, during the auction with Colin where over 10 ABC members each paid $10,000 to shadow Colin on an upcoming event...we got the text from our amazing Publicist Leila Khalil (with BeInspired PR), that we had been selected as a Featured Coordinator in the Spring Bride and Bloom magazine. So we were screaming, the entire ballroom was screaming, but for different reasons. What an amazing day for Susan and I! This was the invitation that we have both dreamed of since we started Bella in 2004!

Stay tuned, I will of course blog all about the amazing feature and our dream team we used for the Bride & Bloom spread...but not before I give you the skinny on the Special Event Show in San Diego.

Till next time!

Congratulations to Josh & Michelle

Okay, Susan and I can't remember the last time that we went to a wedding as guests (okay, maybe an exaggeration)...but what a great time we had at our friend Josh & Michelle's wedding on Jan 24th. Josh and Michelle own MiBelle Inc an amazing photography company based in Southern California. As industry experts, there were some high expectations for their wedding. Michelle did an amazing job transforming the Cooper Design Space in downtown LA into an intimate wedding, and blow out reception for friends and family.
Here is a self portrait that Josh took of the 4 of us, this is a standard shot that is a must have at the end of every wedding that we work on with them, so was only fitting to have it for their big day!
Michelle designed an amazing B logo that she used throughout the wedding. Starting with the amazing invitations and calligraphy by Laura Hooper. The B logo was carried out through the petals that lined the aisle, the signs throughout the cocktail reception area, and on our individual custom menus. Check it out.
The petals on the aisle were so pretty that everyone gingerly stepped through the B, not wanted to be the one that messed it up before Michelle went down the aisle!

From a distance Susan caught site of one of our favorite bakers, Amy from Vanilla Bakeshop, and she ran into the kitchen to catch up. The funniest thing of the night was the caterer asking Susan to nicely leave the kitchen. We are so used to having the run of an event that we didn't even think twice. Check out all the yummies that Amy provided...and of course we sampled.

We had such a great time hanging out with our friends Carrie & Ryan of Ryan Phillips Photography...they gave us some great tips for taking pics with our handy sure shot camera's.

Last photo, check out Susan and I sitting down for a ceremony! Love it. Susan was so worried that maybe we shouldn't sit on the aisle, kept having to remind her that we were there to have fun, not too work!

Till next week, Love the Bella Girls
