Gilda & Mike ~ Sunset Restaurant

I still remember the first time I 'met' Gilda, it was via a phone call and we immediately had a connection with her vision of her Secret Garden wedding. Gilda has an amazing knack at reading people through el telephono, and thankfully we made the grade. What a fun time we had over the past year and change, we had some major weekend excursions and Mike was a trooper through it all. Here are just a few of the amazing shots that our friend Michelle from MiBelle, Inc captured of the day.

Gilda has an amazing eye for details, and it all started with her trip to SFO to meet the team at Hello Lucky to design the amazing letterpress invites that incorporated her love of all things pink and 'secret gardenesque'.

Check out the amazing floral design provided by none other than our friends Amy & Trisha at Hidden Gardens. The lighting that just made the entire reception pop was by Nathan at LightenUp. As my daughter would say it was just perfectly 'Pinkalicious'.

Can we talk cake....Leslie from Fantasy Frostings outdid herself yet again. We had three amazing flavors, and yes I tried each and every one of them. It's a hazard of the job, but I thought I owed it to Gilda & Mike to taste test and make sure there weren't any problems. Leslie loved the way the cake looked so much that she featured it in her celebrity blog on GetMarried.

Of course the story that you can't see is that we had gale force winds...or that is what it felt like if you were dressed in a beautiful sleeveless white lace gown getting married on Zuma Beach. But the winds and the sky created some of the most amazing beach shots.

Check out some more amazing pics on the MiBelle blog.

A huge thanks to the entire team that made this event super extraordinary:

Mari & Trevor ~ St Monica's Catholic Church & Jonathan Club at the Beach

What a fun journey with Mari & Trevor during the wedding planning process...of course it was made even sweeter with all the Crumbs cupcakes Trevor brought to meetings so that we could 'taste and select' the perfect flavors for the wedding day. Here are a few of the amazing shots courtesy of Christine Marie Photography.St Monica's Catholic Church blocks from the beach in Santa Monica is a gorgeous chapel, we missed Tom & Gisele's wedding by just days.

In between the ceremony & reception, Mari's parents hosted everyone in their suite for a traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
The Jonathan Club at the Beach never fails to provide great backdrops for some truly So Cal bridal party pictures. Trevor had been trying to squeeze in a game of volleyball earlier in the AM with his boys, I guess he thought a tux was as good attire as any for a quick game.
A huge thank you to Sherri with the Jonathan Club, once again they exceeded all expectations with set up and staffing!
The amazing cupcakes courtesy of our friends at Crumbs, we were a little scared that we might run out before Susan and I got a taste. Thankfully that didn't happen!

A cute idea of having guests sign platters, rather than a traditional guest book.
A quick shot of the invitation that show cased the use of the Chinese symbol for Double Happiness, which was incorporated throughout the day.

We wish Mari & Trevor a life filled with the happiness and love that they shared on their wedding day!

Vicki & Brian ~ Sneak Peek

We recently completed the table mock up for our clients, Victoria & Brian....when we first met with them, they described their vision of bold beautiful colors (specifically Purple & Turquoise) but keeping the overall feel elegant and sophisticated. With the help of Carissa from JLDesigns, Nate from LightenUp Inc, and Rhonda from Chameleon Chair we hit the nail on the head. Here is a sneak peek of the tablescape.

You thought we were going to show you flowers...you must wait until after the wedding to see the full table design.

Brian & Vicki were so pleased with the whole look, that they invited Susan and I to attend the Rocket vs. Laker playoff game that evening. (Brian plays for the Rockets). Here is a pic of Susan and I sitting amid a sea of Laker fans, we almost got kicked out of Staples for rooting on the Rockets.

We were so bummed that the Rockets didn't win the series, but it was an amazing experience to be able to attend one of the exciting playoff games.

Thank you to Brian & Vicki for including us in the fun evening. And a big thanks to Carissa, Nate & Rhonda for all their help in bringing Brian & Vicki's vision to life.
